Bay Of Blood aka Twitch Of The Death Nerve is considered Mario Bava’s most influential film and foreshadows Friday The 13th and the whole “slasher” film genre.

In the words of Bava’s biographer Tim Lucas Twitch is “the acknowledged smoking gun behind the ‘body count’ movie phenomenon of the 1980s, which continues to dominate the horror genre two decades later with such films as Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and their respective sequels.”

“There’s a legend around here. A killer buried, but NOT dead. A curse on Crystal Lake, a death curse. Jason Voorhees’ curse. They say he died as a boy, but he keeps coming back. Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him. NO ONE can.”
