Edward Van Sloan, Bela Lugosi and Herbert Bunston (not pictured) were the only actors from the original 1927 Broadway production of Dracula to repeat their roles in the film.
While working at Universal Studios in the 1940’s, Lon Chaney Jr. befriended a German Shepherd named Moose. The dog performed in several Universal movies including playing the “wolf” that bit Lon in The Wolf Man (1941). Moose could always recognize Lon, regardless of the make-up he was wearing. Sadly, the friendship ended when Moose was run over by a studio truck during the filming of COBRA WOMAN in 1944.

The flashback scenes in ancient Egypt were designed to resemble a silent film, with no dialog, exaggerated make-up and gestures, and a faster camera speed, to suggest the great antiquity of the events portrayed. (via)
